Criteria for inclusion of substance in Schedule I

To be included within Schedule I, a substance shall have: (1) A high potential for abuse; (2) No accepted medical use in the United States; and (3) A lack of accepted safety for use under medical supervision. Source: SL 1970, ch 229 , § 8 (a); SDCL Supp, § 39-17-54; SL 1976, ch 158 , § 42-11 .
