SDCL § 34-20B-18

To be included within Schedule III, a substance shall have: (1) A potential for abuse less than the substances listed in Schedules I and II; (2) Well documented and approved medical use in the United States; and (3) Abuse which may lead to moderate or low physical dependence or high psychological dependence.
