Appropriations from general funds for contract purposes

In lieu of, or in addition to, the expenditures authorized from the special revenue fund pursuant to § 34-3A-5 , such board of county commissioners or the governing bodies of municipalities may appropriate out of the general fund of their respective counties or municipalities for the purposes of § 34-3A-5 .
