Definition of durable medical equipment or therapeutic device

For the purposes of § 36-9-87 , durable medical equipment or therapeutic device is an appliance, apparatus, or product intended for use in nursing diagnosis or treatment and in the prevention of disease or maintenance or restoration of health that are required to implement the overall plan of care.
