Definition of sex or marital status discrimination terms

When used in this section and § 58-33-13.1 : (1) "Contract" means any insurance policy, plan, or binder, including any rider or endorsement thereto offered by an insurer; (2) "Insurer" means any insurance company, association, reciprocal or inter - insurance exchange, nonprofit hospital plan, nonprofit professional health service plan, health maintenance organization, fraternal benefit society, or beneficial association.
