(a) In accordance with the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act (42 U.S.C. § 11431 et seq.), LEAs must:(1) Provide educational services and support to homeless students; and(2) Designate a local liaison responsible for ensuring homeless students are identified and have a full and equal opportunity to succeed in school.

(b) The department of education shall provide technical assistance to homeless-student liaisons as needed.
