(1) As used in this part:(1) “Department” means the department of education;(2) “Non-participating school” means a priority school that is not assigned by the department to participate in the school turnaround program;(3) “Priority school” means a school placed in priority status pursuant to § 49-1-602 that is identified by the commissioner of education as a priority school;(4) “School in need of intervention” means a priority school that is assigned by the department to the school turnaround program; and(5) “School turnaround program” or “program” means the program developed by the department in accordance with this part.
