(a) If a public senior high school provides access to student directory information to persons or groups that make students aware of occupational or educational options, then the public senior high school shall provide access to the same information on the same basis to official recruiting representatives of the armed forces of this state and of the United States to allow students to be informed of educational and career opportunities available in the military.
(b) Each public senior high school shall provide official recruiting representatives of the armed forces of this state and of the United States to access the public senior high school:(1) At least once a month during student lunch periods for the purpose of informing students of educational and career opportunities available in the military; and(2) At least once every other month in which school is in session to provide additional information about the armed forces to students who have expressed interest in the armed forces and who would like more information.
