(a) An LEA or public charter school may continue a disciplinary investigation of a student who, during the investigation, withdraws from the LEA or public charter school.
(b) If a student withdraws from an LEA or public charter school during a disciplinary investigation of the student and the student later reenrolls in the LEA or public charter school, then the LEA or public charter school may discipline the student in accordance with the LEA's or public charter school's policy based on the results of the disciplinary investigation of the student.
