(1) For the purposes of this chapter:(1) “State” includes the states of the United States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands; and(2) “United States,” when used in a geographical sense, includes the states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
