(a) The state board of examiners for architects, engineers, and land surveyors shall inquire into the identity of a person claiming to be an architect, engineer, land surveyor, landscape architect or registered interior designer and to prosecute any person violating this chapter.
(b) The board may, when it deems appropriate, seek civil remedies at law or equity to restrain or enjoin any unauthorized practice or other violation of this chapter or chapter 18, part 1 of this title.
