(a) The board shall consider an application for a certificate of registration that is submitted on a form prescribed by the board and accompanied by the fee prescribed by the board. The board shall issue a certificate of registration as an architect, engineer, land surveyor, registered interior designer, or landscape architect to an applicant who:(1) Submits evidence satisfactory to the board that the applicant is qualified to practice architecture, engineering, land surveying, or landscape architecture, or to use the title registered interior designer;(2) Speaks and writes English; and(3) Is of good character and repute.

(b) The board shall not grant a person a certificate of registration as an architect, engineer, land surveyor, registered interior designer, or landscape architect unless the person:(1) Submits a separate application for each profession;(2) Pays a separate original application fee and annual renewal fee for each profession; and(3) Is qualified for registration in each profession.
