(a) A regulatory authority may enter into reciprocal agreements with appropriate officials in other jurisdictions to grant licenses to persons or entities licensed in the other jurisdictions who possess sufficient qualifications as established by the regulatory authority to operate across state lines under mutually acceptable terms.
(b) Each regulatory authority may promulgate rules to carry out this section. All rules must be promulgated in accordance with the Uniform Administrative Procedures Act, compiled in title 4, chapter 5.
(c) As used in this section:(1) “License” means a license, certificate, or registration for an individual or entity to engage in an occupation, profession, business, or trade in this state; and(2) “Regulatory authority” means any board-run, commission-run, or commissioner-run program in the division of regulatory boards of the department of commerce and insurance that issues a license.
