(1) The commissioner is authorized to adopt, promulgate and enforce rules and regulations to:(1) Enable the department to carry out this chapter for the control of tuberculosis;(2) Establish criteria for the admission of patients to approved hospitals, and for the proper hospital and out-patient care for these patients; and(3) Establish procedures for the reporting of tuberculosis and for isolating and quarantining those persons infected with tuberculosis who have been determined by the commissioner or by a state, district, county or municipal health officer to be contagious.
