Sec. 1001.085. MANAGEMENT AND DIRECTION BY EXECUTIVE COMMISSIONER. The department's powers and duties prescribed by this chapter and other law, including enforcement activities and functions, are subject to the executive commissioner's oversight under the revised provisions derived from Chapter 531, Government Code, as that chapter existed on March 31, 2025, to manage and direct the operations of the department.
