Sec. 1044.253. TAX ASSESSOR-COLLECTOR. The board may: (1) appoint a tax assessor-collector for the district; or (2) contract with the tax assessor-collector of Hunt County, the City of Greenville, or the Greenville Independent School District for the assessment or collection, or the assessment and collection, of taxes.
