Sec. 1077.253. TAX ASSESSOR-COLLECTOR. (a) Except as provided by Subsection (b), the tax assessor-collector of Cooke County shall assess and collect taxes imposed by the district. (b) The board may appoint a district tax assessor-collector under Section 285.041, Health and Safety Code. Added by Acts 2009, 81st Leg., R.S., Ch. 1139 (H.B. 2619), Sec. 1.01, eff. April 1, 2011.
