Qualifications For Office

Sec. 1088.053. QUALIFICATIONS FOR OFFICE. (a) A person may not be elected or appointed as a director unless the person is: (1) a resident of the district; and (2) a qualified voter. (b) A director elected from a commissioners precinct is not required to be a resident of that commissioners precinct. Added by Acts 2009, 81st Leg., R.S., Ch. 1139 (H.B. 2619), Sec. 1.01, eff.
