Prohibited Sale Or Exchange

Sec. 1201.504. PROHIBITED SALE OR EXCHANGE. (a) A manufacturer may not sell or exchange, or offer to sell or exchange, a manufactured home to a person in this state who is not a licensed retailer. (b) A retailer may not sell or exchange, or offer to sell or exchange, a new HUD-code manufactured home that was constructed by a manufacturer who was not licensed by the department at the time of construction. (c) A retailer, broker, or salesperson may not sell or exchange, or offer to sell or exchange, a manufactured home to a consumer in this state for use as a dwelling unless the appropriate seal or label is attached to the home.
