Applicability of Certain Laws To Out-of-State Group Accident and Health Insurance Coverage

Sec. 1251.451. APPLICABILITY OF CERTAIN LAWS TO OUT-OF-STATE GROUP ACCIDENT AND HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE. (a) Chapters 1365 and 1368 and Subchapters A and C, Chapter 1451, apply to: (1) a certificate of insurance issued to a resident of this state under a group accident and health insurance policy delivered, issued for delivery, or renewed outside this state; or (2) a certificate issued to a resident of this state under a policy delivered, issued for delivery, or renewed outside this state by a group hospital service corporation. (b) Subsection (a) does not apply to a specified disease or limited benefit policy. Added by Acts 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 1274, Sec. 3, eff. April 1, 2005.
