Sec. 13.044. PURPORTEDLY ACTING AS VOLUNTEER DEPUTY REGISTRAR. (a) A person commits an offense if the person purports to act as a volunteer deputy registrar when the person does not have an effective appointment as a volunteer deputy registrar. (b) An offense under this section is a Class C misdemeanor. Acts 1985, 69th Leg., ch. 211, Sec. 1, eff. Jan. 1, 1986.
