Definitions

Sec. 159.001. DEFINITIONS. In this chapter: (1) "Billing record" means a record that describes charges for services provided to a patient by a physician. (2) "Medical record" does not include a billing record. (3) "Patient" means a person who, to receive medical care, consults with or is seen by a physician. Acts 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 388, Sec. 1, eff.
