Sec. 171.024. PLACE FOR MAKING APPLICATION. (a) If there is a proceeding pending in a court involving an issue referable to arbitration under an alleged agreement to arbitrate, a party may make an application under this subchapter only in that court. (b) If Subsection (a) does not apply, a party may make an application in any court, subject to Section 171.096. Added by Acts 1997, 75th Leg., ch. 165, Sec. 5.01, eff. Sept. 1, 1997.
