Injunctive Relief; Civil Penalty

Sec. 205.402. INJUNCTIVE RELIEF; CIVIL PENALTY. (a) The acupuncture board, the attorney general, or a district or county attorney may bring a civil action to compel compliance with this chapter or to enforce a rule adopted under this chapter. (b) In addition to injunctive relief or any other remedy provided by law, a person who violates this chapter or a rule adopted under this chapter is liable to the state for a civil penalty in an amount not to exceed $2,000 for each violation. (c) Each day a violation continues or occurs is a separate violation for purposes of imposing a civil penalty. (d) The attorney general, at the request of the acupuncture board or on the attorney general's own initiative, may bring a civil action to collect a civil penalty.
