Sec. 22.035. REGULAR TERM OF OFFICE. The mayor and aldermen of the municipality are elected for a term of two years unless a longer term is established under Article XI, Section 11, of the Texas Constitution. Acts 1987, 70th Leg., ch. 149, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1987.
