Sec. 24.456. 279TH JUDICIAL DISTRICT (JEFFERSON COUNTY). (a) The 279th Judicial District is composed of Jefferson County. (b) The 279th District Court shall give preference to family law matters. Acts 1985, 69th Leg., ch. 480, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1985.
