Sec. 242.324. CIVIL PENALTY. A person who violates this subchapter is liable to the state for a civil penalty of $1,000 for each day of violation. At the request of the department, the attorney general shall bring an action to recover a civil penalty established by this section. Added by Acts 1997, 75th Leg., ch. 1280, Sec. 2.01.
