Vacancy

Sec. 25.0009. VACANCY. (a) The commissioners court of each county shall appoint a person to fill a vacancy in the office of judge of a statutory county court. (b) The appointee holds office until the next general election and until the successor is elected and has qualified. (c) This section applies to a vacancy existing on creation of the office of judge.
