Enrollment In Summer School Course By Person Not Enrolled In District

Sec. 25.008. ENROLLMENT IN SUMMER SCHOOL COURSE BY PERSON NOT ENROLLED IN DISTRICT. (a) Except as provided by Subsection (b), a school district shall permit a person who is eligible under Section 25.001 to attend school in the district but who is not enrolled in school in the district to enroll in a district summer school course on the same basis as a district student, including: (1) satisfaction of any course eligibility requirement; and (2) payment of any fee authorized under Section 11.158 that is charged in connection with the course. (b) Subsection (a) does not apply to enrollment in a program under Section 29.088 or 29.090 or in a similar intensive program. Added by Acts 2013, 83rd Leg., R.S., Ch. 344 (H.B. 2137), Sec. 1, eff.
