Municipality With Population of At Least 10,000 and Any County

Sec. 265.001. MUNICIPALITY WITH POPULATION OF AT LEAST 10,000 AND ANY COUNTY. (a) The commissioners court of a county may cooperate with the proper authorities of a municipality with at least 10,000 inhabitants to establish, build, equip, and maintain a hospital in the municipality. (b) The commissioners court may appropriate funds for the hospital that the commissioners court considers appropriate after a joint conference with the municipal authorities. (c) The commissioners court and the municipal authorities shall jointly control the management of the hospital. Acts 1989, 71st Leg., ch. 678, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1989.
