Sec. 3001.055. REMOVAL; VACANCY. (a) The county commissioners court may remove a director for misconduct or failure to carry out the director's duties on petition by a majority of the other directors and after notice and hearing. (b) If a vacancy occurs on the board, the remaining directors shall appoint a director for the remainder of the unexpired term. Acts 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 1277, Sec. 1, eff. April 1, 2005.
