Definitions

Sec. 300C.0002. DEFINITIONS. In this chapter: (1) "Board" means the board of directors of a district. (2) "Director" means a member of the board. (3) "District" means a health care provider participation district created under Chapter 300A and operating under this chapter. (4) "Institutional health care provider" means a nonpublic hospital that provides inpatient hospital services. (5) "Local government" means a hospital district, county, or municipality to which this chapter applies. (6) "Paying hospital" means an institutional health care provider required to make a mandatory payment under this chapter. (7) "Program" means a health care provider participation program authorized by this chapter. Added by Acts 2025, 89th Leg., R.S., Ch. 525 (H.B. 3505), Sec. 1, eff. June 20, 2025.
