Credit Life, Credit Health and Accident, and Credit Involuntary Unemployment Insurance

Sec. 345.202. CREDIT LIFE, CREDIT HEALTH AND ACCIDENT, AND CREDIT INVOLUNTARY UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE. (a) As additional protection for the contract or agreement, a holder may: (1) request or require a retail buyer to provide credit life insurance and credit health and accident insurance; and (2) request or allow a retail buyer to provide credit involuntary unemployment insurance. (b) A holder may include the cost of insurance provided under Subsection (a) as a separate charge in the contract or agreement. Acts 1997, 75th Leg., ch. 1008, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1997.
