Sec. 347.201. PROPERTY INSURANCE. (a) A creditor may require a consumer to insure the property involved in a credit transaction with coverage designated by the creditor. (b) Insurance required under this section may include federal flood coverage. Acts 1997, 75th Leg., ch. 1008, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1997.
