Sec. 3828.002. CREATION AND NATURE OF DISTRICT. (a) The Lake View Management and Development District is a special district created under Section 59, Article XVI, Texas Constitution. (b) The board by resolution may change the district's name. The board shall give written notice of the change to the commission. (c) The district is a governmental unit for the purposes of Chapter 101, Civil Practice and Remedies Code, and operations of the district are considered to be essential governmental functions and not proprietary functions for all purposes, including the application of that chapter.
