Issuance of License

Sec. 401.302. ISSUANCE OF LICENSE. (a) The department shall issue a license to an applicant who meets the requirements of this chapter and who pays to the department the initial nonrefundable license fee. (b) The department may issue to an applicant a license in either speech-language pathology or audiology. (c) The department may issue a license in both speech-language pathology and audiology to an applicant. (d) The commission by rule shall establish qualifications for dual licensing in speech-language pathology and audiology and may develop a full range of licensing options and establish rules for qualifications.
