Penalty To Be Paid Or Hearing Requested

Sec. 411.527. PENALTY TO BE PAID OR HEARING REQUESTED. (a) Not later than the 20th day after the date the respondent receives the notice, the respondent may: (1) accept the department's determination and recommended administrative penalty; or (2) make a written request for a hearing on that determination. (b) If the respondent accepts the department's determination, the commission by order may approve the determination and require the person to pay the recommended penalty.
