Sec. 43.159. 145TH JUDICIAL DISTRICT. (a) The voters of the 145th Judicial District elect a district attorney. (b) The district attorney, with the approval of the Commissioners Court of Nacogdoches County, may appoint the assistant district attorneys, investigators, and stenographers that are necessary to carry out the duties of the office.
