Sec. 53.036. TERM OF OFFICE; VACANCY. (a) A bailiff serves at the pleasure of the judge of the court the bailiff serves. (b) If the office of a bailiff becomes vacant, the sheriff shall appoint another bailiff in the manner provided for initial appointments. Acts 1985, 69th Leg., ch. 480, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1985.
