Requiring Evidence of Insurance Before Termination of Policy

Sec. 549.054. REQUIRING EVIDENCE OF INSURANCE BEFORE TERMINATION OF POLICY. A lender may not require a borrower to provide evidence of insurance earlier than the 15th day before the termination date of an existing insurance policy. Added by Acts 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 1274, Sec. 2, eff. April 1, 2005.
