Sec. 593.055. DESIGNATION OF FACILITY. If placement in a residential facility is necessary, preference shall be given to the facility nearest to the residence of the proposed resident unless: (1) space in the facility is unavailable; (2) the proposed resident, parent if the resident is a minor, or guardian of the person requests otherwise; or (3) there are other compelling reasons.
