Sec. 594.017. APPEAL. (a) A party to a hearing may appeal the hearing officer's decision without filing a motion for rehearing with the hearing officer. (b) Venue for an appeal is the county court of Travis County or the county in which the client resides. (c) The appeal is by trial de novo. Added by Acts 1991, 72nd Leg., ch. 76, Sec. 1, eff.
