Provision of Health Care Services

Sec. 61.029. PROVISION OF HEALTH CARE SERVICES. (a) A county may arrange to provide health care services through a local health department, a publicly owned facility, or a contract with a private provider regardless of the provider's location, or through the purchase of insurance for eligible residents. (b) The county may affiliate with other governmental entities or with a public hospital or hospital district to provide regional administration and delivery of health care services. (c) A county may provide or arrange to provide health care services for eligible county residents through the purchase of health coverage or other health benefits, including benefits described by Chapter 75.
