Nontransferability of Exemption

Sec. 702.206. NONTRANSFERABILITY OF EXEMPTION. (a) A certificate of exemption is not transferable. (b) A person who by purchase or other transfer obtains ownership of a health spa for which a certificate of exemption has been issued shall, not later than the fifth day after the date the person obtains ownership: (1) file a surety bond, or post other security, as required by Section 702.151; or (2) file a new application for an exemption under Section 702.201.
