Sec. 702.403. APPLICATION OF DECEPTIVE TRADE PRACTICES ACT. (a) A person who violates this chapter commits a false, misleading, or deceptive act or practice within the meaning of Section 17.46, Business & Commerce Code. (b) A public or private right or remedy under Chapter 17, Business & Commerce Code, may be used to enforce this chapter. Acts 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 388, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1999.
