Suit For Enforcement

Sec. 702.552. SUIT FOR ENFORCEMENT. (a) The attorney general or a district or county attorney may file suit against a person who violates, or threatens to violate, this chapter to: (1) obtain an injunction to enjoin the person from violating this chapter; or (2) recover a civil penalty under Section 702.553. (b) Venue for a suit filed under this section is in a district court located in: (1) Travis County; or (2) the county in which the defendant resides. Acts 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 388, Sec. 1, eff.
