Sec. 71.002. AUTHORITY TO LEASE. A political subdivision may lease land owned by it for mineral development, including development of coal and lignite. Acts 1977, 65th Leg., p. 2504, ch. 871, art. I, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1977.
