No Stay Or Continuance Pending Determination

Sec. 74.256. NO STAY OR CONTINUANCE PENDING DETERMINATION. The filing of a motion under Section 74.253 in a case is not grounds for a stay or continuance of the proceedings in the case in the court in which the case is pending during the period the motion or request is being considered by: (1) the judge of that court; (2) the presiding judge of the administrative judicial region; or (3) the judicial committee for additional resources.
