Limitation On Indebtedness

Sec. 775.071. LIMITATION ON INDEBTEDNESS. (a) Except as provided by Subsection (b), a district may not contract for an amount of indebtedness in any one year that is in excess of the funds then on hand and anticipated revenues for the year. (b) This section does not apply to Sections 775.051, 775.072, 775.076, 775.077, 775.078, and 775.085. Acts 1989, 71st Leg., ch. 678, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1989.
