Sec. 775.101. CREATION. (a) A district may create the office of district fire marshal if a county in which the district is located does not have a county fire marshal. (b) The district shall appoint an individual to serve in the office of fire marshal. Added by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 272, Sec. 5, eff. Sept. 1, 2001.
